Klári Katona: Closeness
In her intention, with the questions raised in the thoughts of I Live, Blessed Be the Man, Shared Existence, The Question, The Sentence, Differently, Love, The Attractions of Our Aversions, The Embrace, I Know, she will guide us, together with her fellow artists, between genres towards the discovery of true closeness.
The intimately addressing message, the flow of music related to it, its emotional pulses, its silences, and the minimalist, refined visual world, each receiving emphasis from one another, help to channel our attention—so often straying from the essence—into a creative course.
This is not teaching, but a process of experience.
Together with her fellow artists, Klári Katona invites us to notice the livability of life, the dimensions of feelings, of the male–female relationship, of paying attention to one another, of the true richness of our world. Thus, those arriving in the Sound Dome, entering the inner space of the creators, may almost feel themselves a part of the artwork through their presence, attention, and perception.
“What comes close to us every day is perhaps what sweeps us the furthest away from one another. As if we were afraid that in coming close we would lose ourselves. Yet true closeness is different. It is desired and receptive. By experiencing it, it offers richness, a state of trust” – says Klári Katona.
The work, which takes shape as a whole from a threefold unity, was created in this spirit.
The co-creator catalysts:
Klári Katona – writer–performer
László Gőz, Kornél Fekete-Kovács, Fluidian (Emil Gherasim) – insightful mediators of the worlds of jazz, contemporary classical and electronic music.
Gábor Goda – director, who – with the involvement of co-creators Gáspár Hajdu and Mihály Lukács – is the creator of the visual world of Closeness, harmonized with the conceptual ideas and the music.
